Common - Not worth your time outside of very early game.With that in mind, here are my general thoughts (opinions really) on what to consider for each rarity level.
You don't want to be in a situation where spending all your time trying to build up Red Woods because you bred 4 of them for the puzzle event and you're waiting to recall the Kratus you just hatched. Specifically, empowering (most) dragons takes time, and time is your enemy when you can only recall and empower one dragon at a time. Obviously empowering any dragon makes it better, but just because you can doesn't mean you should. Tips: Well levels 21 and 25 are certainly the most food efficient, but honestly 566k food for 100 orbs is a bargain if you can afford it, it's hard not to get the full 100.
